i salute to this guy, Kamaludin Lee

Saturday is 1 of my regular badminton days
But, it was a different Saturday, yesterday.

One guy came to me, wanted to have a game with me. Why not.
i was STUNNED, shortly after the game started. His footwork, his strokes, his dropshots..
The end result: i lost 1 game, won 1 game.

i’ve played with some state, city, club players before. So, why STUNNED?
This guy is 50+ years-old. Yeas, FIFTY+ years-old!

After chats, i realized, he is Kamaludin Lee.
Apart from winning several local age-group competitions, he is also a medalist in:
men’s singles, World Senior Championships, Taipei, 2007
men’s doubles, World Masters, Sydney, 2009

When i turn 50 years-old, can i be half as good?
Exercise, keep it up

Nike+ Human Race 10K 20091024

cj 200808311630 sgNike m2 320 20080831 was the 1st time Nike organized such run in Singapore.
It was held on Sat afternoon 4:30pm.
Em, i’d be too polite if i say, it was one of the worst running event i’ve had ever attended.
In fact, it was simply, the worst one, from bib collection, corwd control, to route organization.

20091024, this year, they have changed the start time to 07:30am,
which shall be the better choice.

Disappointed with timing, almost 10min slower than last year & KL run this March. Stop watch was not working, poor excuse for poor timing, but, a good reason to get a new sports watch soon. Wahaha..

Result in Singapore – 4338 place

Worst organized run ever attended: route
Nike called this “Nike+ Human Race 10KM”,
truly a “squeezeee human” race!
Many bottlenecks, some points only passable to 5 runners at same time.
Squeeze through BoatQuay, RiverSide, ClarkeQuay,
fight with runners, tourists & waitress.

Even had time to stop to take a pic. Wahaha..
This is the event i will surely skip next year, if it is gonna be held in afternoon again.
Simply, wasting time.

Nike called this “Nike+ Human Race 10KM”,
truly a “squeezeee human” collection!
1015am:
queue stretched from Clarke Quay,
extended to Liang Court, to open space car park.
Queue was easily 200m at 1015am, & collection started 1000am.

6pm:
collection booths evidently failed to digest the crowd.

It was on the 3rd time when i finally got my event pack. Terrible!
Simply, wasting time.
